FIELD : organic synthesis catalysts.
SUBSTANCE : group of invention relates to a method for preparing rare-earth element-based catalyst suitable for alkoxylation processes, in particular, to preparation of liquid catalytic composition based on lanthanum phosphate. Preparation procedure : lanthanum salt soluble in primary monoatomic C9-C30-alkanol at temperature not below 120°C is provided; this salt is added to primary monoatomic C9-C30-alkanol to form lanthanum/alkanoyl solution; resulting solution is supplemented by phosphoric acid at lanthanum salt-to-phosphoric acid molar ratio between 0.7 : 1 and 1.3 : 1 to form liquid catalytic composition based on lanthanum phosphate. Described is also a method for preparing alkylene oxide adducts of organics containing active hydrogen.
EFFECT : reduced viscosity of reaction system and accelerated reaction.
