简介 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a phosphor which is chemically stable, excels in heat resistance and resistance to radiation properties, can stably emit fluorescence even in a severe environment and in extreme conditions. SOLUTION : A cBN or hBN crystal which exhibits the inherent fluorescence properties of an activator is synthesized by adding an activator containing at least one activating ion selected from a trivalent europium ion, a trivalent terbium ion, a trivalent samarium ion, a trivalent cerium ion, and a divalent manganese ion to a solvent for synthesizing a BN crystal by the high-pressure solvent method and subjecting the crystal raw material to a high-temperature high-pressure treatment in this solvent to form the cBN or hBN crystal uniformly activated by the activating ion.
