An organic electroluminescence element (1) is provided with a transparent electrode (12), a counter electrode (14) arranged to face the transparent electrode (12), and one or more structures wherein two organic light emitting layers (20, 22) are stacked between the transparent electrode (12) and the counter electrode (14) through an intermediate conducting layer (30). A difference between a refraction index (na) of the intermediate conducting layer (30) and a refraction index (nb) of at least one of the organic light emitting layers is within 0.25, and the intermediate conducting layer (30) includes an oxide containing one or more kinds of rare earth elements. |
