PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To prevent a cover of an optical fiber from being damaged on operating a clamp and on vibrating it or the like in the clamp capable of an automatic mounting.
SOLUTION : A groove width of a clamp groove 5 is deformed so as to become narrow by surface-mounting the clamp 1 on a printed board P, by inserting and communicating the optical fiber F in the clamp groove 5, and by adding a force to a soft synthetic resin member 3. The groove width of the clamp groove 5 becomes narrow and an opening 6 is closed by the deformation. A shape keeping piece 19 deforms to a direction to shorten a distance between tip ends to a partner positioned holding the clamp groove 5, as well. A metal plate member 2 keeps the deformation even after the press pressure force is relieved since the metal plate member 2 is inelastic, and the soft synthetic resin member 3 keeps the deformation, as well. As the optical fiber F is held and pinched by inner wall faces of the clamp groove 5, both an axial direction and a diametrical direction hardly move their positions. Since the soft synthetic resin member 3 is provided with the clamp groove 5, the cover of the optical fiber F is not damaged. Because a reaction force at inserting the fiber is small, it is rare that a distortion in the optical fiber F is generated and a signal is attenuated.
