PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for producing a polyisocyanate, while effectively utilizing hydrogen chloride produced as a by-product in the production process of the polyisocyanate, capable of reducing the load to an environment, and a device so as to realize the method for producing the polyisocyanate.
SOLUTION : This method for producing the polyisocyanate is provided by obtaining carbonyl chloride by reacting chlorine with carbon monoxide in a carbonyl chloride-producing reaction vessel 2, then obtaining the polyisocyanate by reacting the carbonyl chloride obtained from the carbonyl chloride-producing reaction vessel 2 with a polyamine, then in a hydrogen chloride-purifying column 4, purifying hydrogen chloride gas produced as the by-product in an isocyanate-producing reaction vessel 3, then oxidizing the purified hydrogen chloride gas purified in the hydrogen chloride-oxidizing vessel 6 to obtain chlorine. Then, the obtained chlorine is supplied from a chlorine-re-feeding line 8 to the carbonyl chloride-producing reaction vessel 2 to obtain the carbonyl chloride by reacting with carbon monoxide.
