PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a production method of rare earth alloy fine powders by which the rare earth alloy fine powder for high magnetic properties is obtained at a high yield and handling of the residual powder of the rare earth alloy fine powders remaining in a pulverizing system is facilitated.
SOLUTION : The production method of the rare earth alloy fine powder comprises repeating a pulverizing process of pneumatically pulverizing raw material alloy crude powders containing rare earth elements in a closed circuit and a recovery process of housing the pulverized rare earth fine powders into the space isolated from the closed circuit and the atmosphere. When the pulverizing process is performed by regulating the oxygen concentration in the closed circuit to <0.2%, the low-oxygen rare earth alloy fine powders obtained by the pulverizing process is recovered in the recovery process and thereafter, the low oxygen concentration 0.8 to 2.0% is maintained in the closed circuit and the residual powders remaining in the closed circuit are slowly oxidized and the residual powders subjected to the slow oxidation are recovered and mixed with the low-oxygen rare earth alloy fine powders.
