PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a multi-functional filter with anti-bacterial and deodorization effects achieved by emitting negative ions and using far infrared rays emitted at the same time, in addition to the adsorption function of porous carbon fiber, and with the anti-bacterial and deodorization effects increased by the vapor deposition or thermal spray of a photocatalytic material; and a method of manufacturing the same.
SOLUTION : The filter material comprises fabric and nonwoven fabric and felt made of porous carbon fiber. (1) A natural mineral including rare elements, (2) a mixture of the natural mineral and at least either tourmaline or far infrared ceramic, (3) a mixture of the natural mineral and a photocatalytic material, and (4) the mixture (2) to which the photocatalytic material is further added are steam-deposited or thermal-sprayed to both sides or one side of the fabric, nonwoven fabric and felt.
