简介 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a magnetic garnet having a Pb content of less than 0.1 wt.% which is outside the regulation of the RoHS instructions.SOLUTION : The magnetic garnet (magnetooptic garnet thick-film single crystal) is represented by the formula : (R, Bi)3(Fe, M)5O12 (wherein R is at least one element selected from heavy rare earth elements and Y; and M is at least one selected from Al and Ga, and its amount may be zero) and is obtained by an LPE method using PbO, Bi2O3, and B2O3 as a flux, wherein the magnetic garnet having a Pb content of less than 0.1 wt.% is obtained in the condition of a metal ion ratio Pb/(Pb+Bi) about Pb and Bi in the flux of less than 0.15 (wherein zero is not included) and an oxygen concentration of 5% or less (wherein zero is not included).COPYRIGHT : (C)2007, JPO&INPIT
