PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a lighting system containing a radiation source, comprised of an electroluminescent semiconductor, and a fluorophore containing a phosphor for radiating a specific white light or such a colored light as yellow, amber, and red.
SOLUTION : The lighting system is for radiating a colored light, especially an amber or red color and comprises a radiation source and a fluorophore containing at least one phosphor that can absorb a part of the light radiated from the radiation source and radiate a light having a wave length different from that of the adsorbed light, and the at least one phosphor is a rare earth metal-activated oxonitride alumosilicate represented by the general formula : (Ca1-x-y-zSrxBayMgz)1-n(Al1-a+bBa)Si1-bN3-bOb : REn, wherein, 0≤x≤1, 0≤y≤1, 0≤z≤1, 0≤a≤1, 0
