PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To attain smooth filling of a powder by attaining good fluidity of the powder and further eliminating the clogging or the like in die cavities.
SOLUTION : A gas is introduced into a powder (raw a material powder of a rare earth magnet 4) fed inside a feeder 3, and the powder in the feeder 3 is filled into die cavities 2. Upon starting of the filling, a space with a prescribed depth is formed at the inside of each die cavity 2, and thereafter, the filling is performed. The depth of the space is ≥10 mm. For forming the space, for example, a mortar mold is raised relatively to the lower punch.
