The invention relates to a method for producing polyether alcohols by the catalytic addition of alkene oxides to a parent substance containing water-soluble, H-functional parent substances that are solid at ambient temperature and alcohols and water that are liquid at the reaction temperature, using alkali hydroxide and/or alkaline-earth hydroxides as catalysts. The method is characterised in that the quantity of water is between 1.0 and 6.0 wt. %, in relation to the weight of the parent substance mixture, the latter containing no aminic constituents. |
