PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To further increase the emission intensity in a zinc oxide-based light-emitting material emitting light at a specific wavelength.
SOLUTION : The zinc oxide-based light-emitting material is characterized in that the zinc oxide-based light-emitting material is obtained by adding at least one kind selected from rare earth elements and at least one kind selected from alkali metal elements to zinc oxide (ZnO). The molar ratio of the added concentration of the rare earth elements to the alkali metal elements is within the range of (1 : 1.5) to (1 : 5) of the rare earth elements : alkali metal elements. The emission intensity of the light emitted within a prescribed wavelength range can further be increased according to the kind of the rare earth elements.
