PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an apparatus for generating electrolytic water, in which a pH value of the generated ionized alkaline water can be measured correctly by preventing the transmission of a stray current from an electrolytic cell in operation.
SOLUTION : The apparatus for generating electrolytic water comprises : a pH sensor 34 for detecting the pH value of the ionized alkaline water or ionized acid water generated in the electrolytic cell 15; and a pH measuring line 33 for introducing the ionized alkaline water or ionized acid water into the pH sensor 34 from the electrolytic cell 15. Such an earth part is arranged that an earth terminal 38 is fit to the space between a discharge line 8a and an acid waste water-exclusive solenoid valve 31a from the electrolytic cell 15 through a control part 18 and brought into direct contact with the waste water flowing in the discharge line in order to prevent the transmission of the stray current from the electrolytic cell 15 to the pH sensor 34.
