简介 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electrode material for electrical discharge processing composed of a W-Cu alloy, with less consumption and higher processing speed of an electrode than a conventional one, and superior in an electrical discharge processing characteristic. ŽSOLUTION : This electrode material for electrical discharge processing of the W-Cu alloy is composed of 40 wt% or more W, 15 wt% or less additive element or its compound, and the rest of Cu. The additive element or its compound includes an alkaline metal element, an alkaline earth metal element, a rare earth element, and their oxide, hydroxide, nitride, boride, sulfate, for example, 10 wt% or less of oxide and hydroxide of Ba, Nd, and Ce. Average particle diameter of the particle is 3 μm or less, or an average distance between particles is 20 μm or less.
