PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain a rare earth metal magnet having stable magnetic character istic by producing an alloy strip having no mixed foreign matter as the magnet, in a strip casting method for producing the rare earth metal magnet having high magnetic characteristic. SOLUTION : In a tundish which is placed between a melting furnace and the rotating roll and used for supplying the above molten metal into a rotating roll in the strip casting method for producing the alloy strip by cooling molten rare earth metal melted with the melting furnace, this tundish for casting the strip uses ceramics having >=70 wt.% fused silica content. |
