简介 PURPOSE : A Mg alloy which is inexpensive and has excellent mechanical properties at an ordinary temperature by adding a small amount of misch metal or copper to a Mg-Zn-Y based Mg alloy that is excellent in hot formability and has a microstructure in which a 2-phase region of quasicrystalline phase and metal solid solution is present is provided. CONSTITUTION : A Mg alloy having high strength and high ductility is manufactured by adding 2 wt.%% or less of misch metal or Cu as a fourth addition element to a Mg alloy comprising 3 to 8 wt.%% of Zn, 1.6 wt.%% or less of Y and the balance of Mg. The Mg alloy having high strength and high ductility is manufactured by adding 0.5 wt.%% or less of Li, Al, Nd, Zr, Mn or Ca as a fifth addition element to the alloy. © KIPO 2006
