PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a plant growth-regulating agent, a plant growth-regulating agent composition, and a plant growth-regulating method comprising applying them to roots, stems, leaf surfaces or fruits of a plant in a solution state or a solid state by means of leaf surface-spraying, immersion of lopped branche base in a solution, soil irrigation or the like.
SOLUTION : The plant growth-regulating agent comprises a rare saccharide as an effective ingredient. The rare saccharide is an aldose or a ketose. The plant growth-regulating method comprises utilizing the plant growth-regulating actions of the rare saccharide. The rare saccharide is selected from the group consisting of D-psicose, a mixture of D-psicose and D-fructose, D-allose, and L-galactose.
