PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To ridge carrots in a comfortable environment and a comfortable posture in a small greenhouse with excellent efficiency without cutting roots of the carrots.
SOLUTION : An apparatus for ridging the carrots is equipped with a body 1 having a traveling motor 6 and a battery 7 for driving the traveling motor 6, a pair of caterpillar mechanisms 2 provided on both sides of the body 1, a ridging tool 3 moving the body 1 with the caterpillar mechanisms 2, moved between carrot rows planted in a plurality of rows in a field and drawing earth between the carrot rows toward the carrots C on both sides, a grip 4 provided in the body 1 moved with the caterpillar mechanisms 2 and a switch 5 connected between the battery 7 and the traveling motor 6. The apparatus for ridging is designed to move the caterpillar mechanisms 2 between the carrot rows, move the ridging tool 3 between the carrot rows and ridge the carrots C on both the sides with the ridging tool 3.
