PURPOSE : A method for mass-producing a rare variety of Kalopanax septemlobus (Thunb.) Koidz without thorns is provided to be able to propagate the Kalopanax septemlobus (Thunb.) Koidz without thorns throughout the year.
CONSTITUTION : The method for mass-producing Kalopanax septemlobus (Thunb.) Koidz without thorns comprises the steps of : (a) inducing callus from petiole of Kalopanax septemlobus (Thunb.) Koidz without thorns; (b) inducing somatic embryos using the induced callus; (c) producing shoot using the induced somatic embryos; (d) inducing a secondary callus using root, leaf and petiole of the produced shoot; (e) inducing secondary somatic embryos using the induced secondary callus; (f) producing a secondary shoot using the induced secondary somatic embryos; (g) culturing the produced shoot to grow; (h) acclimating the regenerated plant to soil in vitro; and (i) accommodating the acclimated plant to shaded green house.
