PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To easily improve the conversion efficiency of a solar cell while markedly suppressing a manufacturing cost compared with a means of expanding a spectral sensitivity band toward a short wavelength side using a wide gap semiconductor.
SOLUTION : A rare earth dope CaF2 wavelength conversion layer is inserted to an incident optical path of the solar cell or a module and combined with a solar cell element having proper spectral sensitivity characteristic to expand the spectral sensitivity characteristic on an short wavelength side.
