PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electrodeless discharge lamp device capable of exerting a sterilizing effect over a whole flow passage by the supply of drive power in a accordance with a degree of the contamination or a flow volume of a fluid to be treated.
SOLUTION : The electrodeless discharge lamp device is provided with a discharge tube 2 with mercury or rare gas sealed in, a plurality of independent exciting coils 3, 4 wound around the outer peripheral part of the discharge tube 2 each constituting a different lighting area, high-frequency power sources 11, 13 supplying high-frequency currents to the exciting coils, and a switching circuit 12 selectively supplying output currents of the high-frequency power sources to the plurality of independent exciting coils 13, 14.
