PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a dielectric barrier discharge lamp capable of realizing homogeneous and stable light output and lifetime prolongation.
SOLUTION : This dielectric barrier discharge lamp 1 is provided with a tubular airtight container 2 which is composed of a translucent material and in which a rare gas for eximer discharge is enclosed in the inner part, the outer electrode arranged and installed at the outer periphery of the airtight container 2, and an inner electrode 4 positioned in the inside of the airtight container 2. The inner electrode 4 has a core electrode 6 which is extendingly exists along the axial line direction of the airtight container 2, and in which ends 6a, 6b are respectively retained at both ends of the airtight container, and at least one coil-like cover electrode 8 installed at a prescribed site of the core electrode 6 corresponding to the outer peripheral face of the airtight container 2 at which the outer electrode 20 is installed.
