PURPOSE : To obtain an ethylbenzene dehydrogenation catalyst excellent in activity and having a stable catalyst structure and high mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION : At least one of alkali, alkaline earth or rare earth metals is added to a heat resistant inorg. oxide carrier and heat treatment is carried out to modify the carrier. A complex salt of an org. acid contg. iron and potassium in one molecule as a precursor of potassium ferrate is carried on the modified carrier and heat treatment is carried out to produce the objective catalyst. |
