PURPOSE : A superconducting resistive current limiter with a shunt is provided to have a resistive shunt and to be manufactured in a simple and inexpensive method and with a reduced material.
CONSTITUTION : A superconducting resistive current limiter includes at least one tubular superconductor body. On the external surface of the tubular superconductor body, an electrical conducting shunt is applied in a coil form. The tubular superconductor body is made of a high temperature superconductor material. The high temperature superconductor material is selected from Bi-Ae-Cu-O, (Bi, Pb)-Ae-Cu-O, (Y, Re)-Ae-Cu-O and (TI, Pb)-(Ae, Y)-Cu-O. The Ae means at least one alkaline earth element. The Re means at least one rare earth element.
