Plastic-bonded anisotropic permanent magnets are mfd. from a mixture of magnetic powder and plastic, powder, which is subjected to two-stage pressing, in which the second passing stage is at right angles to the first. The first pressing is pref. at room temp. with application of a magnetic field, while the second stage is at elevated temp. and higher pressure, without a magnetic field. A magnetic powder based on a rare earth-iron-boron magnetic alloy is used. ADVANTAGE - Complex shapes can be mfd. with high degree of orientation and thus high remanence. |
