PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a SCR wall flow type filter capable of using a catalyst containing a vanadate component.
SOLUTION : A filter contains a catalyst for selective catalyst reduction (SCR) of NOX gas and removal of a particulate matter from an exhaust gas of a lean burn internal combustion engine, the catalyst contains a vanadate component having an alkali earth metal, a transition metal, a rare earth metal or a combination thereof. The vanadate component may be iron vanadate. The filter contains a carrying vanadate component arranged on a wall flow type filter. A manufacturing method of the filter includes applying an aqueous mixture of the carried vanadate component as a wash coat to the wall flow type filter, and extruding a composition containing the carried vanadate component. A processing method of an exhaust gas from an engine includes contacting exhaust gas with the catalyst containing the vanadate component.
