简介 The invention relates to a photometer for measuring and analysing particles in the micro and submicro range. Said particles are located in a suspension, an emulsion or in an aerosol and are guided through a flow-through cell or another measuring chamber or are located therein. Measuring and analysis are carried out by measuring the transmission or extinction of light passing through the measuring chamber and optionally by means of the backscatter from the measuring chamber. According to the invention, the size of the measuring zone approximately matches the maximal particle size. The digital individual signals of the highly resolved signal curve can be evaluated integrally, statistically and by comparing said signals to given signal curves. Average particle sizes and the dimension of the integration limits thereof can be clearly measured in real time and rare particles can be monitored or identified in a particle concentration range of approximately 0.1 to approximately 20 vol % even when there is a greater share of particles in the submicrometer range.
