PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a photostimulable phoshor composed of a rare earth-doped alkaline earth metal fluoride halide, free from luminance distribution in the photostimulable phosphor particle, giving a radiological image conversion panel having good graininess and causing little lowering of the luminescent intensity by X-ray damage and provide a radiological image conversion panel produced by using the phosphor.
SOLUTION : The photostimulable phoshor composed of a rare earth-doped alkaline earth metal fluoride halide is expressed by general formula (I) and has a luminescent area corresponding to 50-100% of the surface area of the phosphor particle. General formula (I); Ba(1-x)M2(x)FBr(y)I(1-y) : aM1, bLn, cO (M1 is Li, Na, K, Rb or Cs; M2 is Be, Mg, Sr or Ca; Ln is Ce, Pr, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Tm, Dy, Ho, Nd, Er or Yb; x, y, a, b and c satisfy the formulas 0≤x≤0.3, 0≤y≤0.3, 0≤a≤0.05, 0
