PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a fluorescent lamp, a bulb-shaped fluorescent lamp, and a lighting apparatus, in which a flux-startup characteristics at the beginning of lighting is improved.
SOLUTION : The fluorescent lamp is characterized by a configuration including : a glass bulb 4 in which an electric discharge medium containing an amalgam presenting a mercury-vapor pressure nearly equal to that of pure mercury, and rare gas are enclosed; discharge-generating means for generating an electric discharge in the glass bulb 4; and a phosphor layer 10 containing particles of phosphor and binding agents, wherein the phosphor layer 10 is formed by depositing : the binding agent in the phosphor layer 10, being provided by reduction of an amount of alumina, or combined use of alumina and boric acid or the like, or use of zirconia, or combined use of zirconia and boric acid; phosphor particles 10a forming the phosphor layer 10; and a metal oxide or an inorganic compound 10b, which has a negative charging on its surface.
