PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide an electric valve capable of obtaining the torque to be required even in the case of using a rare-earth group plastic magnet as a material for a rotor and capable of securing sufficient bonding strength in a welding part between a lower end part of a can and a valve main body.
SOLUTION : The electric valve is provided with the valve main body 20 for adjusting a passing flow rate of a fluid such as a refrigerant with a valve element 24a to be brought in contact with a valve seat 22 inside a valve chamber 21 and to be separated therefrom, the can 40 to be bonded to the valve main body 20 at a lower end part 40b thereof for sealing by welding, a rotor 30 arranged with the predetermined space α between the inner periphery of the can 40, a stator 50 fitted on the can 40 to drive the rotor 30 for rotation, and a driving mechanism arranged between the rotor 30 and the valve element 24a to make the valve element 24a to be brought in contact with the valve seat 22 and to be separated therefrom by using rotation of the rotor 30. The can 40 has a thickness difference between the lower end part 40b thereof and a part thereof between the rotor 30 and the stator 50.
