PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a cellulose acylate film having small optical anisotropy (Re, Rth), having substantially optical isotropy, and small wavelength dispersion of the optical anisotropy (Re, Rth); to provide a polarizing plate having excellent characteristics in the angle of visibility; and to provide a liquid crystal display device using them.
SOLUTION : The method for producing the cellulose acylate film having the Re(λ) and the Rth(λ)satisfying the relations of 0≤Re(630)≤10 and |Rth(630)|≤25, and |Re(400)-Re(700)|≤10 and |Rth(400)-Rth(700)|≤35 involves regulating the temperature Ta (°C) of a dope film after casting and before peeling from a supporter, and the film surface temperature Tb (°C) after peeling from the supporter and under drying so as to satisfy the relation of Tg≤Ta≤Tg+30 and/or Tg-20≤Tb≤Tg+30 based on the Tg (°C) of the film obtained by sealing the film containing a solvent in a sealed pan.
