PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a compound in which separation treatment of various kinds of metal ions including rare earth metals can selectively and continuously be carried out in large amount by using a small amount of the compound, and a metal ion-transporting agent composed of the compound and to provide a method for separating metal ions by using the metal ion transporting agent and to provide a metal ion-separating film utilizing the metal ion transporting agent having the above function.
SOLUTION : The compound is represented by general formula (I) (wherein Q is an alkylene group or arylene group; R1 is a 1-18C alkyl group; R2 is a 1-6C alkylene group; R3 is a 1-6C alkylene group; Ph is a phenyl group).
