PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a flat light source unit with excellent reliability wherein the influence of heat generated by a flat light source on an optical sheet can be prevented even in using under a high temperature atmosphere.SOLUTION : This flat light source unit is provided with the flat light source 1 having a discharge space 12 wherein rare gas is sealed and a flat light emitting surface 11 emitting the light from the discharge space 12, a diffuser panel (supporting plate of translucency) 3 arranged on an upper part side of the light emitting surface 11, and an optical sheet 4 arranged on an upper part side of the diffuser panel 3. A spacer 2 is arranged between the flat light source 1 and the diffuser panel 3, and a space S formed between the flat light source 1 and the diffuser panel 3 prevents the heat of the light emitting surface 11 from being transferred to the diffuser panel 3 or the optical sheet 4.COPYRIGHT : (C)2006, JPO&NCIPI |
