To provide a method and a device for removing odor or harmful gases using positive and negative electrodes, wherein a minimum sized device is simply installed to substantially reduce facility cost and installation cost, and proper voltage, current and time are impressed to the device according to treatment volume to treat odor or harmful gases at a high treatment efficiency. A method for removing odor or harmful gases using positive and negative electrodes comprises : a step of installing a positive electrode(2) and a negative electrode(3) in a storage part(1) in which a treatment object such as excretions or food waste is stored with the positive electrode and the negative electrode being spaced from each other in a certain distance; and a step of impressing a certain voltage to the positive electrode and the negative electrode. A device(7) for removing odor or harmful gases using positive and negative electrodes comprises : a treatment object storage part(1) in which a treatment object such as excretions or food waste is stored; and a treatment part(4) comprising a positive electrode(2) and a negative electrode(3) connected to a power supply and installed in the storage part such that the positive electrode and the negative electrode are spaced from each other in a certain distance, wherein the device further comprises an exhaust part for exhausting the collected gases to the outside by collecting gases generated from the positive electrode, the negative electrode, or the positive electrode and the negative electrode. |
