PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method of manufacturing magnet by which a magnet having a protective coating film which is excellent in corrosion resistance and adhesion property and has no possibility of contaminating the circumference of the magnet can be manufactured inexpensively. SOLUTION : This method of manufacturing magnet includes the step of forming an alkaline silicate coating film on the surface of the main body of the magnet containing a rare-earth element and a step of treating the alkaline silicate coating film with an acidic aqueous solution containing at least one acid selected from among a boric acid, oxalic acid, and sulfurous acid. |
