PURPOSE : A device and a method for discriminating an authentic product using an RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) tag embedded in a product are provided to confirm authenticity of the goods by attaching a chip storing the authenticity for the product to the product, storing contents stored in the chip to a database, and manually or automatically connecting to a database center.CONSTITUTION : A product ID recording medium(10) stores a product ID as a special code, permits no overwriting, and is attached to the products(200, 300). A recording medium reader(20) reads and transmits the contents of the product ID recording medium to the device to compare/search the product ID, and receives a comparison result. A central processing system(30) determines agreement by comparing data received from the recording medium reader with previously stored source data and transmits the result to the recording medium reader.
