简介 PURPOSE : A hybrid amplifier based on a rare-earth doped fiber and a Raman amplification is provided to simultaneously perform distribution compensation, signal amplification, and effective usage of pumping ray by using a distribution compensation optical fiber. CONSTITUTION : A hybrid amplifier includes a rare-earth doped fiber(100), a WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) member(200), and a light isolator(300). The rare-earth doped fiber generates secondary signal amplification when residual pumping light is received after a Raman amplification process. The WDM member separates the residual light from a Raman amplifier. The light isolator is positioned between the WDM members and suppresses a raising effect in the amplifier. © KIPO 2006
