PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To realize a method for producing synthetic powder, by which the synthetic powder can be produced with a high efficiency and high quality and to realize a powder treatment apparatus capable of suitably implementing the synthetic powder production method.
SOLUTION : In the method for producing the synthetic powder, when the synthetic powder is produced by using, as a raw material, a mixed powder M2 obtained by mixing a powder comprising one or more kinds of rare earth metal oxides A and a powder comprising one or more kinds of oxides B1 or carbonates B2 of metals other than the rare earth metals, and then bringing the mixed powder M2 into a solid phase reaction by applying mechanical action to the powder M2, steam S is supplied to the mixed powder M2, to which the mechanical action is applied.
