PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a canned motor pump prevented from the unnecessary breakage of a rotor in molding or in subsequent use.
SOLUTION : A back yoke 32 is provided with a plurality of first cutout parts 30 on the peripheral surface on the arranged side to a rare earth permanent magnet 34 and at boundary parts of magnetic poles (N-pole and S-pole) of the rare earth permanent magnet 34, and a plurality of second cutout parts on the peripheral surface on the opposite side to the arranged side to the rare earth permanent magnet 34 and at the circumferential center parts of the magnetic poles of the rare earth permanent magnet 34. When the back yoke 32 is expanded large due to the large difference between the thermal (linear) expansion coefficients of the rare earth permanent magnet 34 and back yoke 32 when integrally molded in a resin material (when wrapped in the high temperature molding resin material), the expansion of the thermally expanded back yoke 32 is absorbed by the first cutout parts 30 and second cutout parts 36 to reduce stress applied to the rare earth permanent magnet 34.
