PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To increase reliability by getting rid of bias by a physician or a patient and by determining efficacy of a medication or an effect of a treatment objectively. SOLUTION : A subject under a certain condition is informed of a clinical treatment and a clinical trial (S101). When an agreement is made by the subject, we will lend him/her a domestic sphygmomanometer and have him/her measure and record blood pressure at home for a certain period (S103). At a re-examination, information on his/her blood pressure is read by a terminal at a medical institution (S105) and is forwarded to a host computer. When his/her blood pressure falls within the range of a specified blood pressure, a judgment that the subject can register for a treatment is made (S111), and the judgment is transferred (S113). Then, basic data which have been input are transferred, and they are verified if they meet the criteria for registration (S203). When the basic data meet the final criteria for registration, a medication is chosen at random, and an antihypertensive target is set (S209). After a physician in charge agrees on a judgment made by a computer (S213), the medication chosen by the computer is prescribed (S215). The subject continues to measure blood pressure at home for a certain period (S217), while taking the medication. |
