Provided are a method for manufacturing a yoke-integrated rare earth bonded magnet which can firmly integrate a ring-shaped bonded magnet with a ring shaped yoke with no use of an adhesive, by the utilization of the spring back of an article formed by compression forming, and thus allows the manufacture of a yoke-integrated rare earth bonded magnet excellent in dimensional accuracy, cleanness and magnetic characteristics, with good efficiency at a low cost; and a yoke-integrated rare earth bonded magnet manufactured by the method. A ring-shaped magnet is prepared by the use of a pressing device compressing a compound (4) in a cavity (2) having an opening. The cavity (2) is packed with the compound (4), a ring-shaped yoke (3) having an inner diameter greater than the outer diameter of the cavity (2) is placed in the vicinity of the opening of the cavity (2) and nearly coaxially with the cavity (2), a formed article (9) formed by compressing the compound (4) in the cavity (2) is taken out from the opening of the cavity (2) and is forced into the ring-shaped yoke (3), and the formed article is subjected to a heat treatment, to cure a thermosetting resin in the compound. |
