PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a catalyst support for purification of exhaust gas retaining the purifying performance of a catalyst at a high level even after desorption regeneration of adsorbed SOx, a method of manufacturing it and a catalyst for purification of exhaust gas using it.
SOLUTION : The method is for manufacturing a catalyst support for purification of exhaust gas comprising a mixed oxide containing aluminum oxide, zirconium oxide and titanium oxide and a rare earth element and has a first coprecipitation process of mixing a solution containing acid salts of aluminum, zirconium and titanium with an alkali solution to obtain a coprecipitated product, a second calcination process of heating the coprecipitated product to 300-450°C to obtain a calcined product, a third adhesion process of causing a rare earth element to adhere to the calcined product, and a fourth baking process of baking the calcined product to which the rare earth element is adhered at 900°C or lower. |
