PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for producing a rare-earth sintered magnet, which effectively removes an organic substance added to a raw powder, and produces the rare-earth sintered magnet having a high magnetic property, and to provide a heat treatment method.
SOLUTION : This production method includes, when removing a binder in a compact obtained by compacting a powder in a magnetic field, charging the compact in a vessel 10 made of molybdenum, and treating it further in hydrogen atmosphere, in order to prevent magnetic properties from deteriorating due to residual carbon. The vessel 10 preferably has, for instance, a twice or larger internal volume than the compact to be accommodated therein has, in order to prevent carbon generated (escaped) from the compact during the binder-removing treatment from depositing on the surface of the compact. Thus, the production method prevents carbon having deposited on the inner surface of a heating furnace from depositing on the compact, during the binder-removing treatment, simultaneously prevents carbon having escaped from the compact from redepositing on the compact, and reduces a carbon content in a finally obtained sintered compact to give it a high magnetic property. |
