PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain a cleaning agent of water suitable for cleaning water polluted with heavy metals such as arsenic and to provide a cleaning method for polluted ground water for cleaning ground water polluted with heavy metals such as arsenic by using the cleaning agent of water on a present site.
SOLUTION : Cerium hydroxide is added into hydrochloric acid under stirring to prepare suspension liquid, zeolite is added to the suspension liquid and the mixture is stirred and slurried. At the same time, the slurry is neutralized with a sodium hydroxide aqueous solution and, further, is made to be pH 9. Thereafter, the slurry is filtered and extracted, the obtained sediment is dried, and thereby the cleaning agent of water in which a cerium compound is deposited on the surface of zeolite is obtained. The obtained cleaning agent of water is packed in the ground, a cleaning area is constructed in an earth layer through which ground water polluted with heavy metals such as arsenic is allowed to flow and, by allowing the polluted ground water to penetrate the cleaning area, the polluted ground water is cleaned on the present site. |
