PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a method for cleaning and insolubilizing soil contaminated with a heavy metal in situ.
SOLUTION : High pressure jet water is injected into heavy metal-contaminated soil in situ to stir and clean the soil. Classification of the contaminated soil is promoted by the flow rate control of muddy water moving upward and discharged in a drainpipe, thereby to separate and discharge fine particles. A modifier having a heavy metal adsorbing capacity is mixed and stirred in semicleaned contaminated soil mainly comprising a coarse particle portion left to promote the insolubilization of a contaminant. When the contaminated soil is improved, since the diffusion of the contamination is likely to occur when the contaminated soil in situ is moved to anywhere, the contaminated soil is cleaned with water in situ, the amount of elution is decreased by removing the separated contaminant and fine particle portion. The above heavy metal adsorbing modifier mainly comprising a natural mineral is mixed in the semicleaned contaminated soil mainly comprising the coarse particle portion left to limit a possible re-elution in the future to an elution standard or less. |
