PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a fluorescent substance containing oxides of alkaline earth metals and a group 13 metal, and to provide a light source in which the phosphor is built.
SOLUTION : This phosphor contains europium, at least two of the alkaline earth metals, and at least one of the group 13 metal. The phosphor is selected from a group consisting of a compound : Sr4-a-zAaEuzD12O22 (A is at least one of alkaline earth metals other than strontium; D is an element selected from a group consisting of group 13 metals, group 3 metals and rare earth metals other than europium; and a and z satisfy inequalities : 00) and a compound : Sr4-a-zAaEuzD14O25 as one of embodiments. The phosphor is used for the light source and a display. |
