PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To provide a catheter balloon for medical use which can be uniformly expanded, of which the small diameter of the contracted shape is stably kept even after being expanded, and which is excellent in a re-passing property.
SOLUTION : For the catheter balloon for the medical use of this invention, on a balloon cross section vertical to a catheter long axis direction at the time of pressurizing the balloon by 0.6 atmG, at least three or more and six or less corners are continuously formed from a balloon distal side balloon tapered distal end to a proximal side balloon tapered proximal end, and the cross section shape of at least a straight pipe part at the time of expanding the balloon by 6 atmG is roughly circular. By such a structure, it is simply and easily folded in the small diameter at the time of manufacture, it is uniformly expanded at the time of using it for treatment, the contracted shape of the balloon is stably kept to the small diameter even after it is expanded, and thus push-in resistance is reduced at the time of pushing it into a high constriction degree lesion and at the time of passing it through and taking it out of the lesion.
