Provided is a yellow earth panel composition with sound absorption, lightweight, nonflammability and water resistance for use as construction interior material by using lightweight inorganic material and yellow earth as main materials. The sound-absorbing panel composition comprises 40-95wt.% of lightweight inorganic material(0.1-10mm) such as perlite, vermiculite or diatomite, 1-70wt.% of yellow earth, 0.01-10wt.% of polyester(PET) fiber, 2.5-50wt.% of liquid inorganic binder such as sodium silicate, silica sol or alumina sol, and 0.01-30wt.% of aqueous thermal-hardened phenolic resin for water resistance. The constructional panel is manufactured by the following steps of : preparing a liquid binder obtained by mixing inorganic binder and phenolic resin homogeneously; adding lightweight inorganic material, yellow earth and PET fiber to the mixed binder; and hot-pressing mixtures at 250-300deg.C under pressure of 0.1-10kgf/cm2. The resultant yellow earth panel composition is widely used as panel material for sound-absorbance, sandwich, fire door, etc. |
