PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED : To obtain a titanium-containing perovskite-type compound with a small particle diameter and less in unnecessary impurities, which is excellent in electrical characteristics and can be formed into a thin film-shaped product usable for downsizing electronic instruments.
SOLUTION : This invention relates to a method for producing a titanium-containing perovskite-type compound, which contains a process to react titanium oxide prepared by a vapor phase deposition with at least one kind selected from the group consisting of alkaline-earth metal compounds and Pb compounds in an alkaline solution, the perovskite-type compound obtained by the method, and electronic materials, and the like, using the compound. The titanium-containing perovskite-type compound obtained by this method is usable for downsizing electronic instruments, because it has a small particle diameter, contains less impurities, has excellent electrical characteristics, and is formable into a thin film-shaped product.
