The invention discloses a method for counting the number of Multimedia Broadcasting Multicast Service users, which assigns a MBMS service state ID in each MBMS service context for each user equipment. The method comprises : on the side of network, setting the MBMS service state ID corresponding to the user equipment in the MBMS service context related to the user equipment as an active value separately; counting the number of users of each MBMS service by counting the number of the active value in each MBMS service context. The counting method for the number of MBMS user equipment’s according to the invention can exactly count the number of users for each MBMS service which the user equipment joins in, avoid unmeaning wireless resources possession, and thereby take full advantage of the rare air interface resources. |
